| Eligibility
Students in their 2nd year of a 4 year science degree (or related
discipline e.g. biomedical engineering) or combined degree (e.g.
B.Sc with B.Com, B.A or B.E) are eligible to apply for entry into
the Diploma program. Students typically commence the Diploma during
the 2nd year of their university studies, as it takes between 1.5
- 2.5 years to complete the Diploma program.

If you are interested in applying for entry in 2008, then you should
look out for notices posted around the Biological Sciences Building
and Biomed theatres during Semester 1 which will be advertising
an Information
Seminar about the Diploma.
Application forms are available
online or can be obtained from the Entrepreneurs in
Science Unit office (GO5 Biological Sciences Building). Completed
forms are due for submission by the end of Week 12, Semester 1.
We will typically notify successful applicants towards the end of
June.
The criteria used in accepting applicants is primarily based on
tertiary academic records. However, we do provide the opportunity
for students to strengthen their case through individual consultation.
Since 2001, between 30 and 70 students have entered the program
annually, with most successful applicants having above
credit grade averages.
